Use this thread to tell the class comm anything. For example, if a certain subject rep needs blue tack or something then you can mention it here.

Here's a suggestion, but no flaming please. Should we post up the selected questions for the homework given to us here? People have been asking me often about what questions we need to do. And why is the page empty? -.-

RE: Implications on use of caffeine and ethical issues
By: timelessbeing,
Mar 18 2008, 12:47 PM EDT
"Competitions originated from particular leisure activities and exams were created to give students a benchmark on where they stood academically compared to the rest of the cohort. Competitions spur individuals of a sport to excel beyond their expectations and reach their limits. This is not wrong as it not only adds an importance to a sport, it also serves as entertainment for the masses. Samuel is right to say that exams are a comparison, but is too quick to conclude that it is all based on your genes. Education is given to every student and how much they gain from it is not based on their genes but on their hard work." As no one has refuted my 1st post, I shall use my 3rd post to comment on another post. I refer to Leon's comment on the origin of competitions and exams. Although the mentioned purposes may have been true, it is evident that present day has caused the purposes to steer towards personal achievement and glory. This is further amplified as MOE and schools give out awards to students who excel in their studies. Thus, the purpose of these activities has been polluted to a new purpose. If you claim that we should be going back to these original purposes, then it should stand that the exams should be based on the knowledge that we have gathered from the lessons during the school term, so that we know a true benchmark of the acquired knowledge, and where we stand compared to others. Thus, it should follow that studying the days before exams should be banned as it crams information into our brains outside class time, and the information here is only stored in our short-term memory. This will be considered "cheating" as it does not show us a true benchmark of our intelligence, as our answering of questions in the exam would be based on the information we have gathered the days before the exam, and would be forgotten once the exam has passed, as the information is only stored in our short-term memory. Thus, if we ban caffeine and drugs, we also have to ban studying the days before the exam, if we want to adhere to the initial purpose of exams, which is to give students a benchmark, which should be based solely on each individual's skill to store information. This is highly unfair to certain people, as their ability to store information in long-term and keep it ingrained in their brain is all based on birth, and somewhat like Samuel said, genes, which I also touched on in my 2nd post. Therefore, the use of external means to better ourselves in competitions and exams should be allowed to give others a chance. -Clement Yue (31)

No, when the collection of the shirt (if any) is done, the cost for each person will be divided to include the winner's share, and the winner will not be asked to pay.

Lol you totally ripped it off from wikipedia XD. Anyway you forgot to take out the links and also from Content, you didn't include * 7 See also * 8 References * 9 Further reading * 10 External links Though you never took them out of your content.
I believe that real lego is much more fun than virtual lego! Cause at leat real lego you get to "hands-on" and interact with your Lego Toy, like when I was young, I was fond of lego, i used to play with my lego toys...and back then, before my mum gave away the whole table of lego i had, I had a table about the height of a 3-4 yr old toddler with a drawer filled with like thousands of lego...and I used to make cute ships etc.
Well, lego was initally targeted for young people and children I guess, thus the Real thing is obviously more fun and also more suitable for young kids as the virtual one is more for those "IT savvy" or more like those who know how to use a computer, which i believe those lil kids dun...
Thus well, if you play the virtual one...and you believe its fun, wait till u try the real one...though its not that fantastic, its sure better than the virtual lego (Though its mroe expensive XD) but it;s less time consuming as well as its easier to fit real Lego Toys rather than virtual :D:D:D:D:D:D

NAPFA is what the test was previously called. They have revised the name, and it is now called PFT, meaning Physical Fitness Test. This change was implemented quite long ago... I'm pretty sure it was already changed in Sec1, or earlier.

"And this has anything to do with CAS? Maybe doing this webbie should give us CAS" I don't think it should. A lot of the contributions are spam. And as many reflected, it's not in the true spirit of CAS. Instead, it's a competition to look big. Nope, not for CAS.

Oooh dun worry so much bout IHS test actually as according to Sham, it will be mostly philosophical questions right? Soo...well...won't IHS have no definite answer to every ques: Infact it should be more on opinion and common sense I guess, with a little factual knowledge...
So If your good In Hist last yr...guess this mus be no big feat
